What To Know About The HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP Printer With HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP Compatible Toner
The HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP printer using Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP printer toner cartridges is Hewlett-Packard's lowest-priced multifunction printer, though it certainly doesn't deliver low-rated features or functions. In actuality, it's print results are probably close to being print shop quality. It is able to take on most tasks and finish them with a speed and accuracy not usually seen in many printers -- let alone multifunction printers -- in this price range.
Print shop quality comes to the 1312 multifunction at a price, though that price is very slight when one stops to think about it. To get that quality, one must be prepared to accept about 12 pages per minute of monochrome printing and eight pages per minute of color printing capability. While the machine is no speed burner, that probably won't be the aim of most users of this particular HP printer.
Resolution of printed copy per page is handled nicely because of its 600 dpi print resolution capability. Everything that comes out of the 1312 will look clear, clean and sharp and there will be little, if any, evidence of any smearing or smudging. When acting as a copier, the 1312 can enlarge up to 400% and reduce down to 25% the size of anything that's asked to copy. For best results, print with HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP printer toner cartridges.
From the time a print task is sent to the 1312 until the time the first sheet emerges will be about 25.5 seconds for something being done in black-and-white. Color print jobs emerge about 6 seconds after that, in 31.5 seconds. Neither speed is quick, at least in terms of the typical workgroup printer, but this particular unit doesn't seem to be designed for that sort of duty. Rather, print quality looks to be its forte.
Keep in mind that this is a multi-function printer, meaning that also can scan, copy and print. As a compromise, when it comes to doing all three functions, this particular Hewlett-Packard LaserJet-type machine does it all very well, especially when one considers its low price. It can scan at 1200x1200 dots per inch resolution, which will deliver extremely sharp documents when final rendering is completed.
Onboard memory within the 1312 is 120 MB of RAM, and there's no way to upgrade that. This isn't a problem, though, because just about every multifunction printer sold by Hewlett-Packard or other manufacturers comes in right at about the same memory capacity. It's also easy enough to hook this printer up to a PC or Mac through its included high-speed USB port.
In terms of how durable the 1312 is, it certainly delivers the goods on that front with it being able to feature a maximum monthly duty cycle of around 30,000 impressions. This means that it will be able to print out or copy and produce about 30,000 sheets of products before needing any sort of maintenance. The 1312 holds around 150 sheets of paper and can print out on a wide variety of media stock, including transparencies and envelopes. It also utilizes many different Mac or Windows operating systems.
The HP Color LaserJet CM1312 Mfp printer seems to do almost everything it's asked to do with a nice amount of competence. It will run about $350 for a nice unit and it will be sure to keep the owner of any small office or home office business happy with its results. It's not the fastest multifunction printer, but that's not really the purpose of such models. It will be a durable and high-quality machine, which is actually its intended role. After you get it, keep in mind that the best deals on HP toner are found online. However, you can also buy HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP laser toner in stores if you desire.
