My HP Officejet, Photosmart, and PSC All-in-Ones scanner wont scan?
so when i push the scan button it says 'An error occurred while communicating with scanning device' so what do i do? and also i already tryed unplugging it and i c--an print what i need from scanning it but scanning it to my computer wont work? i dont know if theres something that needs to be fixed or if i just need to get a new printer/scanner.

What you need to do, and this goes for all HP product, is to un-install your software.
Power on your Hp Officejet and disconnet the USB cable from the printer. Now begin a new installation and the software will tell you at one point, to plug in your USB.
Do so. Installation will complete. Now, reboot and windows will find the new hardware and your scanner will definitely work.
Remember to use their software to scan or Photoshop.
