I have a HP 895CXI about 10 years old. It prints in b+w OK, but color only prints magenta.?
I have tried everything. My computer (a1640n) has run the printer for four years. It did not malfunction, the cartridge ran out of ink. (color) I left the #23 in empty as per instructions so black (#45) would still operate. I have tried several refilled #23s from several suppliers, but nothing works. I really am trying to avoid buying a new Kodak printer, fax, copier, burglar killing laser blaster robot combination (hahaha). Really I already have a fax and I am broke. The thing has been cleaned also so I am at my wits end. The disc will start to load but then says it will not work with Win2000, but I have XP.
The color ink cartridge head had some clogged ink in the yellow and blue passage. Change your cartridge now. Perhaps it has been left unused for a long time and dried up the foam inside it.
