Arriving At A Post Office Near You: Boarded Windows
The United States Postal service announced Monday that it will close 2,000 locations in 2011. A law bars the USPS from closing post offices for budgetary reasons. The Postal service said the locations selected are not technically post offices, but stations, or branches. Up to now, cost cutting has failed to curtail the stream of red ink leaking from the USPS, which loses billions of dollars on an annual basis. They have been hanging on by a thread and may possibly be looking into short term cash loans to remain afloat.
The USPS struggles for meaning
There have been 500 postal closings already planned. Still, 2,000 closings is the goal the USPS has for this year. The USPS is needed by law to provide an equal measure of service to every corner of the U.S. About $8.5 billion was lost in the 2010 fiscal year though. This is bad news. It was asked for an increase postage rates by the Postal Regulatory Commission. This was rejected though. The commission felt that poor management and waste was the reason for the Postal service having a problem although the request said it was due to the recession and Internet competition. Just since 1999, there has been a cut of about 1/3 of Postal service employees. There's a possibility that Saturday delivery and smaller postal locations might be dropped to help with costs.
Increase options for the Postal service
You will find 16,000 Postal Services being re-evaluated by the USPS even though 2,000 will be cut in just 2011. This number represents 50 percent of the post offices within the U.S. that are running at a deficit. Congress has had to hear a lot from the agency. The agency has asked that there be a change to the law that states postal service closings can only take place when there are maintenance problems or expired leases. Losing the postage strengthen battle did not stop the USPS from trying other things. It's trying to convince politicians that 32,000 locations are too many. Most of the facilities were built decades ago, long before e-mail, FedEx and the United Parcel Service.
A close conclusion for the Postal Service
In order to survive, the USPS will need more mail. In recent years the art of letter writing has passed away, people pay their bills online and companies spend a fraction of what they did just a few years ago to send out junk mail. Small towns and politicians really do not want the buildings to close down which is the only thing left to do. The employee benefits are the first thing suggested to go. Then the USPS can start thinking about shutting down the mail system.

Can you cover red ink with a different color?
I got a tattoo a year ago of an amaryllis which was my mom's favorite flower. It is way too red and everyone mistakes it for a rose - which is the last thing I wanted! I know red is heavily pigmented so unsure what the options are.
Unfortunately the artist that did it moved to another city 3 states away so I can't go back to her.
Hey
Im married to a tattoo artist and been working as a Professional Body Piercing in this industry for almost 5 years.Red is by far one of the easiest colors to cover up! Shop around the local tatt shops, and strike up some convo with the different artists about a cover up (make sure you show them the tatt you already have and then mention your cover up idea). Ive watched my husband cover dark black tattoos with color pieces (the black is lost in the shading) and red and pink flowers with just about any and everything!
Good Luck
