Phaser 4510 Printer Cartridge- Prints Perfect Every Time
In the interest of helping your business to remain as competitive as possible, we present a printer comparison. The Xerox Phaser 4510dt printer will be compared against the HP LaserJet P4015dn. Both machines serve as centralized printers to meet the needs of small to mid-sized businesses. They comparisons will be based on the specifications listed by each manufacturer, as well as actual performance observed by our team.
Cost: The nod here goes to the LaserJet which will cost your business $1479, while this model of the Xerox rings in at $1599 based on the MSRP. However, the 4510 has four available models which range from $899 - $2299.
Standard Warranty: The clear winner in this category is the Phaser 4510 which comes with a one year on-site repair warranty. HP's warranty, on the other hand, requires the printer to be returned to an authorized service centre.
First Page Out: The Phaser ekes past the LaserJet with a speed of 8 seconds, half a second faster than the LaserJet's time of 8.5 seconds. In our lab the Phaser was able to push the first page out in an average of 10 seconds, which was a full second faster than the HP.
Printing Speeds: However, as the machines warmed up the results reversed in favor of the LaserJet. The LaserJet averaged 47 pages per minute, which beat the Phaser 4510 Toner by 2. This was much closer than the listed maximums posted on the respective manufacturer's website (LaserJet 52 ppm and Phaser 48 ppm).
Paper Capacity: This is another win for the HP. The LaserJet has a smaller standard load (600 pages) but the maximum capacity of 3600 is nearly triple of the Phaser 4510 toner.
Output Sizes: Both machines have comparable ranges in this area. They can print from 3''x5'' to 8.5'' x 14''.
Network Connections: The LaserJet comes equipped with a standard Ethernet adaptor, 1 EIEO port and 1 Hi-Speed USB port plus 3 "USB-like" ports. The Phaser offers a similar configuration with 10/100 integrated Ethernet adaptor, IEEE1284 Serial and USB connections. Both printers have wireless connectivity as an available upgrade option. In network connections both printers are similarly configured, so this is considered a tie.
Summary: Both machines are easy to use with intuitive command console displays that will quickly be picked up by your employees. The results of the tests may lead you to believe that the LaserJet is a clear winner, but in truth these machines performed very comparably. The major points to consider are price and warranty. How much does the fact that you can have a technician come on-site sway you, versus having to ship the printer to a service centre and wait for it to return? Also you should consider the cost of toner for both the Phaser 4510 toner and the LaserJet P4015dn, as this will be a recurring cost for the life of the machine. Ultimately, both machines will serve the needs of most businesses, so you can buy either with confidence. For more information, please visit http://www.qtoner.us.
